Matt and his team were a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend MJR to anyone.  We had an old bathroom remodeled from the studs up and we had our basement fully finished including a full bath and a sauna.

When you call MJR, Katie will almost always pick up, and if you need to leave a message, she or Matt will get back to you very quickly.  It was a refreshing change from past experiences with other contractors when you get someone's cell phone and wonder if/when they'll call back.  With MJR, we always felt that we were their most important client.

When Matt came to estimate our projects, he listened carefully to what we wanted and offered ways to make it them happen.  He never pushed anything we didn't want.   His estimate/contract was detailed so there was little room for surprises.  The payment schedule was laid out against very clear milestones.  We were never asked for money until a milestone was completed.

His crew and subcontractors were great.  We were also working with Notturno Plumbing and Heating, Grillo Electric, RKM Flooring and a couple of others whose names I wish I knew.  All around they were excellent in communicating with us and with each other and the quality of their work was outstanding.

Matt and his subcontractors also had to work closely with the sauna installer, which required Matt and his people to frame, insulate and wire the sauna room to exact specifications.  The cooperation and communication between all of them made the project move smoothly.

Matt and team were a pleasure to work with. Needed my old deck torn out and replaced.  Matt helped walk through possibilities and followed with a detailed and competitive quote.  Communication was great throughout the project. The build team were on time, friendly and professional, checked in frequently, and were remarkably quiet as I was working from home the next room over. I hired MJR to replace my front door, and frame which was rotted. I was surprised to have the project completed earlier than I thought. They showed up on time, and completed the project quickly. We could not be any happier with the project (kitchen update including new hardwood flooring, countertops, backsplash) MJR did for us. Matt was helpful, knowledgeable and extremely responsive. He kept us updated daily on what was happening and what to expect the next day. He was never late, and always returned texts, calls and emails quickly. He listened to what we wanted and understood our vision of the project. He also used local companies to do the work, which was important to us.
